This week, Ferguson Marine had the pleasure of welcoming a group of children from Kilbarchan Nursery for a special visit to the shipyard.
Eight children, aged 4–5, visited the site along with four nursery staff as part of a local learning experience. The visit was designed to give the children a glimpse into the world of shipbuilding in a safe and engaging way.
Steve McAllister, our Head of Health & Safety, led the session, helping the children learn more about ships and how they are built. The group had the opportunity to view the ship from a safe distance and ask questions about the work taking place.
The visit continued with a short walk along the waterside, where Steve talked about the ship, its purpose, and the team involved in its construction.
We were delighted to share a small part of what we do and hope the visit helped to inspire curiosity and learning. Ferguson Marine is proud to support community engagement and education at every level.
