Job Title: Assistant Accountant

Reports to: Financial Controller

Location: Head Office, Port Glasgow

Salary: DOE

Reporting to the Financial Controller, this role will support the production of monthly management accounts and be a critical part of the day-to-day finance activities.

Duties:

• Revenue recognition
• Processing of month end journals such as payroll, accruals and prepayments
• Inter company charges and reconciliations
• Balance sheet reconciliation
• Bank reconciliation
• Support in annual external audit process
• Reconcile and submit quarterly VAT return
• Maintain Fixed Asset Register
• Maintain department budgets
• Assist with Annual Budget
• Assist with preparation of monthly management accounts reporting
• Assist and support Accounts Payable and Payroll process when required
• Continuous improvement of business processes via annual business initiatives
